i'm no expert but as far as i know:
You don't need to take any steps to set up as a sole trader. However, you
can only really trade under your own name, as you are the legal entity not
your company....

If you have a mac you could have a look on www.versiontracker.com for an
app called pdf shrinker lite. Does a fantastic job.
