My first throught would be to put them in your machine without the raid
controller and see what happens.. I have previously placed 2 hard drives
in my linux development machine (without installing any drivers) and I
was able to read off the drive as if it was a normal (non raid) drive..
and the 2 drives were originally setup as a striped array using an
onboard highpoint raid controller..

I don't know if this will work in your case but it's a thought :)
