been following this very odd thread - can't quite see what the problem
is...
if you said you could accept Mac disks - then you can accept Mac files,
surely?
all you need to do is find someone with a Mac (at a push, go down to
your local print shop!) and get them to mount the image, then copy the
files...
SMI's are good because they are compressed, and a great way to archive
whole disks IMHO...
Stuffit will expand these files reliably, but i'm not sure how that
works under windows as they are a Mac archive format.
