FN-FORUM: PHP Image Upload script wanted

got any good image upload scripts you want to share?

I'm writing one, but it's deadly tedious and I'm sure someone must have a
better one....

I've googled but I keep finding old stuff that doesn't quite work.

I want something I can work from and integrate with a CMS I'm working on.

I need to:

upload a jpg
create a thumbnail
rename both images according to script generated criteria
move both images to different directories.

file type, size and dimensions validation would be a bonus.

preferably simple to understand and rehash and register_globals off
compliant even better
