BT were originally advertising that it would cost 7.50 a month and 3p per
minute daytime - if so, I can't see the point as it's more expensive than a
landline.

BT Broadband Voice is VOIP and is totally amazing. Just think, totally free
calls over Broadband between 2 people with VOIP boxes. I'm looking into
buying a VOIP box for myself and when the price for a VOIP modem is just
over £100 then you cant grumble. I went to Atlas Telecommunications in Hull
for my details. They seem to be the only company in the UK that provide a
full packaged solution. Incidentally, BT currently wont do VOIP over an ISDN
30 exchange but they are currently working on it. :-)

The BT one is over the broadband line though, means you'd have effectively
an additional line. Is it VoIP? Does anybody know of other companies that
provide this?
