Hiya Paul - I agree with you to a certain extent. I missed out on a contract
recently because I couldn't provide evidence of experience in xhtml and
css-only sites. If I'd got my arse in gear over the summer and got my own
site done instead of making the most of the rarest of occurences in British
Summer Time - abundant glorious sunshine, I'm sure I'd have got the gig,
although if that was the only URL I could offer then no, I'm sure I wouldn't
have. Anyway, my original point was that doing your own site is a good start
and I did hint that even with commercial experience it's grim out there.

Aye - I got that impression too and you're absolutely right, but where's
your entrepreneurial spirit? - if he's prepared to risk it then I wish him
