In very brief, ASP is just old-style scripting, fairly limited and
IMHO pretty horrid compared to e.g. PHP. Runs on any old IIS server.
ASP.NET is a /completely/ different beast, vastly richer and hugely
more sophisticated and requires the .Net framework to be installed.
I suspect MS have some suitable documents on their site about the
differences that go into considerably more detail.
