RE: FN-FORUM: dreamweaver templates
date posted 25th January 2004 19:56
Links in templates have always been a pain, I know that whenever I used
to use the DW templates they gave me hassles.
I guess the easiest way is to open the template and change the ../ in
front of all the links , but then again it may save them again.
Usually to get around the templates I just make up a master page then
use that to save off. , but then again can be a problem if you aren't
the only person working on the project.
I spose you could put the full URL before all of your links , but then
they wouldn't be relative would they , :(
Cheers
Duane

OK, this is driving me up the wall, one of those unexplained gliches
that doesn't make sense at all!
http://www.apperleydesign.co.uk/srsnweb/index.html

Home, About SRSN and Members are the only active links and are all
specified in the template as ../document.html. Home and Members work
fine but About SRSN doesn't recognise the relative link and still
has ../ before it in the document. Why? They all look exactly the same
in the template.
Any ideas before I tear my hair out?
Lindsey
