RE: FN-FORUM: Screen Display in Internet Explorer

Is the table rendered with a style="table-layout: fixed;" rule?
I had a problem with "fixed" layout tables getting corrupted.
The only way I could find to fix it was to set a script at the end of the
table to increase the table width by 1px and then reduce it back.
This forces IE to re-evaluate the table and fixes the display error.
Hope this helps

Subject: FN-FORUM: Screen Display in Internet Explorer
Hello all,
I have got a problem through from a client, and I was wondering whether
anyone had perhaps encountered it before.
The client runs football leagues throughout the South East of England.
The system I designed for them allows them to enter the teams' payments
online and generally organise all the financials in one centralised
online database.
One of the screens ("Approve Payments") allows a super admin to view the
payments entered by one of his minions, and then approve them. Here is a
screen shot of what part of this page normally looks like:
http://www.aciddrop.com/aciddrop_site/freelancers/screen_3.gif
Now, the problem the client has been experiencing is that sometimes this
Approve Payments screen displays incorrectly as follows:
http://www.aciddrop.com/aciddrop_site/freelancers/screen_1.gif
http://www.aciddrop.com/aciddrop_site/freelancers/screen_2.gif
Following this, I asked the client the following questions:
1- What version of Internet Explorer are you using?
2- Has this happened before? / how long has it been going on for?
3- Done it ever happen to other screens of the Financial Web Admin or on
other sites?
4- How do you overcome the problem and manage to approve the cash-ups?
..and received the following replies:
1. IE 6.0.2800.1106
2. This happens every time I attempt to approve a large number of
cash ups, one after another. It has been happening for a few months.
3. I have not experienced this on any other pages or sites.
4. It seems to happen mainly on the larger leagues, i.e. more teams
to list. It is intermittent and seems to happen more often if I have 2
pages of IE open at the same time (which I need to do in order to cross
reference with results from the main website). If I close IE then
relaunch I can usually manage to view and complete 1 or 2 cash ups
before it starts happening again.
It would seem to me that the problem lies not with my system, but with
something wrong his end. Any suggestions as to what this might be?
Many thanks in advance,
Leon Chevalier
