The common-sensical nature of that answer did lead me to believe that
no-one would bother wasting a mail on explaining it to me :P

Still, I guess that is part of my lesson.

Advice on what to do with regards to the company/problem would be
more useful, I've considered invoicing them for the work I have
produced, but as they don't even use it at the moment I'm not sure I
have any ground whatsoever to stand upon.
