FN-FORUM: Umbrella Companies - Anyone using one

I've been acting as a sole trader since going freelance over the last 8
months or so, however I've just done some work through an agent and I =
have a
bit of a problem as they will not remit to me unless I am a ltd company.

I'm not keen to have to register my own ltd company at this time and I'm
wondering about going through one of the many listed "Umbrella" =
companies,
for example alternetuk.com who advertise on the freelancers web site.

Has anyone an experiences good or bad in working with these companies. =
