Unfortunately yes
For once the VAT man is right, the onus is on your client to verify this with their Spanish VAT officer if they really want to
It doesn't matter whether the spanish bstds like it or not you're invoice is valid and due payable. (assuming of course you've
done the work)
Unfortunately it's the EU equivelant of: cheques in the post, we never got it, it the wrong date etc etc etc but........
IMHO you've about to be fckued by one of the cheating and lying pieces of sh!te we are supposed to now call our partners in
Europe - so join the club, With a few exceptions I don't deal with the EU, especially if they used to have the Maginot Line :(
BTW - before the Europhiles start - No I've never been to anywhere in Europe on a Holiday/package tour etc and have no
intention of doing so outside or Eire, Norway or Holland - who are the only ones who I never have a problem invoicing or
getting paid from.
