I agree with Andrew that it's whatever you are both happy with, however, I'd
recommend that you negotiate a daily rate rather than an hourly rate or even
an overall salary figure paid pro-rata - is that the right terminology? If
it's a part time position and therefore guaranteed monthly income I'm sure
he'll / she'll be happy to negotiate. I have customers who I work for on a
regular basis and I charge them 25% less than my usual daily charges. They
are happy as they feel they are getting value for money and I'm happy as
it's guaranteed income - always useful in this fickle industry!!
