FN-FORUM: Illegal XP - Owner coming clean

A client of mine owned up to a dodgy copy of XP today when it wouldn't
install XP SP1.

I'd appreciate some advice on how to put a good product key on that system
without trashing the whole thing. I've seen the registry editing and
re-entry of product key advice on the M$ web site - but does it leave the
system intact?
