Heheh..
Good one...
But I guess you could have gotten away with it if you were in America...
Like that sniper that suede the gun manufacturer for making the guns he used
to wipe out people.. heheh and he won.. he got money for it..
So cant see why the ISP cant be held responsible.. or even the car
manufacture.. Good idea Dom im Aaron.. im going to jump in my car and do
what you said... and maybe I can sue the seatbelt company for not making a
seatbelt that raps around me when I get in my car.. hehehehe
Yea...

Indeed.. To my mind, connecting to the Internet with no firewall and
then claiming the ISP to be responsible is a bit like stepping into your
car, doing 150 down the motorway without a seatbelt on, and then
claiming the car manufacturer should be responsible when you seriously
injure yourself.
Afterall, it's not like the virus problem hasn't been widely reported,
by the BBC no less, even my (pensionable age) parents know about them..
Anyhoo, lots of good advice from everyone else on the eventual problem,
firewall/AV/SpyBoy/AdWare..
Still, an ex customer did indeed try to sue PlusNet for 'getting their
server infected'.. not sure if they succeeded or not - one would hope
not. They did actually have insurance against internet borne infections
though, and they did pay out, despite the total lack of firewall!
Remarkable.
