Re: FN-FORUM: BROKEN IMAGES help
date posted 12th January 2005 18:21
Sylvia - if the images have been supplied by commercial litho printers it's
possible that they're in CMYK mode. Ensure the Photopaint JPGs are saved in
RGB.
Also, commercial printers often work with Mac files - which may not have the
.JPG suffix within their file name - again ensure .JPG suffix is on all file
names.

Received images on disc from client [via printers (ha ha)]
all the jpgs look ok at first sight, open directory opus, can see pics ok.
Open them in Corel photopaint they open, edit, etc. etc..
Put them on a web page and they just won't do it.
They look ok on irfan view, don't appear on Picasa (see I'm getting
desperate) etc. etc.
[some are not jpgs but they saved as jpgs and then acted as the others
do ....
Have done the usual tweeks that usually rescue things, short of using a
screen view
What have they done ?
