Charles, sorry to hear you didn't get on there. I think/hope it has
improved. As to the hardware state, they have plenty of PC's dual
booting Windows/Linux and a load of up-to-date Mac's. They boast on
how they update all the hardware every few years. They said that they
wouldn't be using Microsoft software, except that Microsoft were
giving them licenses to encourage them to use it!

Admitadly, computer science is barely similar to the other sciences,
but it makes it easier for them to put together their prospectus
(though it seems to end up in the Engineering section).

I'd like to get Gentoo working - messed up last time, and couldn't be
bothered to go through all that compiling again! Anyway, I don't want
to mess up my nice cozy Fedora installation. :-)
