well, forgive me for this, but the first thing you are doing wrong is
using Dreamweaver ;-)
i appreciate what you're saying about files without extensions where
PHP is concerned - but i usually just bust these open in a standard
text editor anyway, as the only use of something like Dreamweaver is
for the speed at which i can code HTML and CSS due to it's built in
functions. (although i actually use Golive, which IMHO is a far
superior product)
but for PHP snips in extensionless files, it's just as easy to use
textedit.
