RE: FN-FORUM: Tax return question

You do have to pay 50% of the current 2003-2004 cost upfront for
2004-2005. If you feel it is to expensive you can fill out a form called
'SA303' titled 'claim to reduce payments on account'
Filling this out will reduce the payment for the following years.

It basically means that you have to pay half of next years tax too. Or
something along those lines.

Subject: FN-FORUM: Tax return question
I've just gone through doing my tax return on-line (which would have
been slightly easier if the paperwork from the umbrella company I used
for a while was clearer) and the thing that I don't understand is along
with the amount I owe for 2004/2005 I have "First payment on Account for
2004/2005" - what's that all about then?
