I hope I wasn't trying to impose anything, I was merely making a=20
suggestion as to how to avoid the to'ing and fro'ing of increasingly=20
vitriolic posts. I'd like to think that I was making constructive=20
criticism, which of course you are free to accept or ignore as you see=20=
fit. I also thought that DG needed some support. I fully appreciate=20
that for people who have been here a long time, all the things you=20
mention can be frustrating, and you've probably been through this all=20
before. But a newbie hasn't, all he/she sees is a hostile reception. As=20=
I say, I don't wish to fall out with anyone over this and you are free=20=
to take my thoughts on board or not.
> that all advice (harsh or not) is freely given
Of course it is, I was highlighting those times when it seems to stop=20
being advice and just remains harsh and the fact that it is free is=20
hardly an excuse.
I of course recognise that this is a 2-way street and newbies have an=20
equal responsibility to rein in any non-constructive commentry.
> I learned a lot in my first six months on this forum
Is this the timescale after which it is deemed ok to be as harsh as you=20=
like with no come back, but before that anything harsh is not=20
acceptable? LOL

Risky one this, but here goes: There have been posts that touch on the=20=
idea of this being an elitist, closed shop of freelancer friends. I'd=20
like to think that it isn't, but your above comment is in danger of=20
confirming this.
Out of interest are there any long-time members that can see where I'm=20=
coming from?
ON A Separate note: There haven't been any newbies complaining about=20
all the emails they're getting for a while. In anticipation of the next=20=
influx, is it feasible for the unsub option to be the first thing in=20
all that bumph at the bottom of emails? Just a thought, but I know when=20=
I got my first influx, I saw prosperity4 web link and assumed that all=20=
that copy was for adverts and links to other websites. Of course it=20
should be read properly and the newbie will see what they all are, but=20=
maybe in the state of annoyance that they are in they don't think=20
straight.
For my part I was just excited at getting all these lovely new friends,=20=
so didn't care about the amount of emails. Lol.
Alternatively maybe the unsub/new post links could be separated out in=20=
some way. Just a suggestion but you experienced guys will tell me=20
whether it would work.
As ever my comments aim to be constructive and I don't intend to upset=20=
anyone.
Please accept them in the spirit they are given.
