If I understand what you want to do, use something like this....

It's very easy to set up. Users can add formatting, links etc. as
they would in word. You can then control features by commenting out
specific lines in the js...

['fontname'],
['fontsize'],
// ['fontstyle'],
// ['linebreak'],
['bold','italic','underline','separator'],

etc.
