FN-FORUM: Pri disk: LBA

Following on from my CMOS errors the other day, I've changed the
battery, reloaded the bios defaults and am still having problems. The
boot sequence detects the primary master and slave but then hangs on
the next screen at 'Pri disk: LBA_' and sits there flashing...

I've Googled and found 'How It Works: Partition Tables' & 'LBA and CHS
format, LBA mapping' and TBH I'm not much further forward. It's a load
of techno mumbo jumbo ;-(

Anyone got a suggestion for what to do next? I'm happy to format C if
needed and reinstall the OS, but will it help?
