A common problem with alt text is that IE renders alt text as a "tool =
tip"
when moused over. Wrongly. But designers come to rely on this. That
function is properly provided by the "title" parameter, and even IE =
doesn't
use the alt if there's a title. So, in a typical link, the alt should =
have
a value like "link to homepage", and the title should contain the =
"tooltip"
text, e.g. "Go back to the homepage". It's the alt text that a
screenreader will render.
