hah - fair enough. though i'm more talking about Indian philosophy.

if you read the Bhagavad-Gita or Srimad-Bhagavatam, one of the
philosophies put forward is that this world is meant for nothing but
suffering, and it is the human goal of life to return to our natural
state, hence the desire to search for that elusive 'something' the
whole time we are here.

but as said, all depends on where you're cookie crumbles as to how you
take that!
