Absolutely, it's completely different way of thinking of things.
I used to use tables, but now I use CSS for everything. I was recently
asked to work on a site that used tables and it was almost alien to
me. Not to mention it looked a complete mess!
In my opinion CSS is the way to go, but I wouldn't criticize a
designer for using tables if they came out with a decent site.
