FN-FORUM: css guru needed help with css

Hi CSS Guru ALL,

I am really stuck and if someone reading this knows the answer; then
please let me know.

If you visit http://www.linkhomes2000.co.uk view with mozzila you will
see the start of the problem, I have used the snippet below to correct:
navbar and content but it has no effect on headline which is the left
bar. What am I doing wrong? The weird thing is, it actually moves text
down, but not the bar. I know this for sure, as I have set z-index:100
on all, and the left bar is being measured from the HTML tag. Totally
confused, please help, is Tony around? Not seen anything from him for
sometime.
