Hi Honey I'm home...

right then:
he can - ping both ip and domain names no problem.
he can't - telnet (but I think that's a user problem more than
anything!!!) nor ftp.
He's done a hijackthis scan and he's mailing the file from another box to me.
I'll report back and let you know the grim news.

I think that's a bit extreme Mark! Not always the best answer in my
opinon, but valid for those people who you know will just do it again.
