I'm the same Julie - non-technical when it comes to coding. I've designed
web sites in Fireworks for yonks, but haven't got involved in actually
building sites until recently, as I prefer the creative side of things. I
use Dreamweaver, which I just about get by in.
Seems to me that opinion on the forum is firmly in favour of positioning by
CSS, rather than with tables (Dreamweaver allows you to do both). I'm not
that comfortable with CSS so have steered clear of it so far, especially
seeing some of the problems people far more able than me are having with
cross-browser issues... CSS is next on the 'to learn' list though.
I also dabble in Flash, which I really like. From my limited understanding,
it seems a site built purely in Flash would be likely to have fewer browser
and cross-platform issues than HTML - but I'm sure some of the boffs here
will put me right on that! ;o)
Really liked your large paintings too - as a matter of interest, what kind
of price do you sell them for?
