Oh and as an update, The second computer, my wifes 1700+ with the ATI9800
Pro card righted itself. I thought it might be a cooling issue so I left it
over night. but the next morning it was just as bad. Blurred unreadable
display with some very strange things happening as the signal switched in
and out during bootup. I left in on to show my wife and about 5 mins after
she saw it it just seemed to twitch and was back to normal, although with a
slight green tinge. I wonder if it may have been the monitor.
