FN-FORUM: ruby on rails

I've a feeling a few of you use this , so, is it as good as they claim?
easy to pick up from a OO perl / php / c background ?

I'm up for a learning curve, as long as the end result is worth it

also, iirc a couple of years back some of the guys and girls on the
list did a collaborative learning thing - i.e. we all decided to learn
the same thing at the same time and help each other out .

would any one be up for that with ruby on rails ?
