FN-FORUM: laptop recommendations?

Hullo all,

I'm think of getting a laptop - budget of approx £700, so it's probably Ebay
for me.

I want something fairly light with decent battery life, plus a high res
screen (12" - 15", 1280 x 800, 1400 x 1050, that kind of thing) - oh, and
fairly powerful, so it has to have it all really ;)

Some models that seem to come up well are:

1Ghz powerbook
MV Mobeus 1.6
Toshiba M30
HP nc6000
Sony vaio S150 (heard it has a v noisy fan?)

Any experiences/comments?
