RE: FN-FORUM: Virus protection
date posted 1st June 2005 23:51
Hi
I have been using a thing called 'NORMANS ANTIVIRUS' (not NORTONS!) for
3 years and I have never had a virus in that time. I rate it very highly
best of all I managed to get a free version when they first launched the
product.
If any of you want to try it I can post my free copy on my server for
you, if you wish.

Hi Rob,
My experiences have shown that an out dated Norton will let in viruses,
I have tested this on several occasions over the past few years and
since learnt to upgrade as soon as they bring out their new version or
suffer the consequences. If you take a note of the tasks running I will
expect you to find three suspicious files running, sorry can't give you
the names but remember one will have 64 in its name.
I have used Norton for many years and most of those have been connected
7/24.
