FN-FORUM: Modifying a WinXP Installation

Does any one have any insight in to this. I want to alter the size of
the WinXP boot partition on a machine by using Partition Magic. The last
time I did that, the stupid M$ anti theft stuff burst into life and said
that the hardware had changed sufficiently that it though it was a new
machine. I ended up trashing the installation and starting again.
Similarly does this happen if I copy the XP partition to another HD if I
upgrade the disk drive.
