Lost for words really. Well nearly...
A baby can't help if it has contracted Aids from its parents, but you
happily let it die in order to keep the world population down. Do you have
kids of your own? How would you feel watching helplessly as your own child
died through an entirely avoidable lack of food or medicine - and then have
some smug, 'superior' arse tell you it's all in the greater interest. I
very nearly lost my baby daughter to meningitis and the feeling of
helplessness and impending loss is something too terrible to wish on anyone.
Do you imagine African parents feel any less for their children than people
in the west?
As for 'Bonio' and 'Gandalf'... sure, they're rich and famous - bloody good
luck to them too. If they weren't they wouldn't generate the publicity for
these events. They're not lightweight jump-on-the-bandwagon celebs - they
work f***ing hard for the cause, they get things done and they make a
difference.
Unlike those wingeing from the sidelines that they're bored about hearing
about Live 8.
