Your setting cellspacing="0" but not cellpadding="0" in many of your tables.
Apart from that you have a lot of nested tables, fat more than I think you
need and a lot oft hem are simply empty or with empty div tags in, needs a
good cleanup and layout re-think I would suggest.

I am using Dreamweaver 2004 MX on a Mac os x, and in Dreamweaver
everything appears to join and there are no white spaces however in the
browser there are white gaps between the tables

news panel is in the right hand column there is a corner gif the image
doesn't have a white border around it, but in the browser it does, is
this a CSS issue?
