Hi Cedric,
Not sure about for France but in the UK there are not so much freelancers
parties as possibly business networking events. We have organisations such
as business link in the uk who run for a nominal charge (sometimes free)
events where you can go along and networking with other contacts be these
potential customers or other freelancers. May be you have something
similar?
