Can't you use a router that doesn't power off and release the address? I
have a dynamic IP address, but it hasn't changed in years.

Hi

A client is giving me access to their FTP server but has first asked
me for my IP address as it is IP restricted. The problem is I don't
have a fixed IP address. After each reboot
http://www.whatismyipaddress.com shows me as having a different
address. Has anyone come across this problem before? I'm with BT.
Does anyone with BT have a fixed IP or know what I'd need to do to get
one.
