RE: FN-FORUM: What's my IP address

I am with plus.net and must say they're quite good although there
cross-table function in mysql is turned off for some reason (need to talk to
them about it) and you have two servers 1 for your website and 1 cgi-bin
from where you run your scripts (though there is a workaround to serve
websites and scripts directly on the ssh server so you upload files to one
place only)

As someone said already, you can get most of the business product with fixed
ip .. But they're usually more expensive. I've migrated to Freeola
(www.freeola.co.uk) to get fixed IP. The migration process was a bit pain
but so far works good.

Subject: FN-FORUM: What's my IP address
Hi
A client is giving me access to their FTP server but has first asked me for
my IP address as it is IP restricted. The problem is I don't have a fixed
IP address. After each reboot http://www.whatismyipaddress.com shows me as
having a different address. Has anyone come across this problem before?
I'm with BT.
Does anyone with BT have a fixed IP or know what I'd need to do to get one.
TIA
Paul
