IMAP then.. most isp's should offer it. or have a local imap server set
up, rather than exchange.. a lightweight one on linux would be doable on a
basic old bit of kit.
We offer imap to anyone that prefers it to the pop solution anyway..
or, set up filters that does the copying to them selves for them.. so they
don't have to remember??
