FN-FORUM: Password Protected Websites
date posted 5th August 2005 08:21
I have a client that for some reason wants to create a website where =
people
have to register their details and then they receive a username and =
password
to login and view his website and the deals available.
This is not something I would usually want to work on as its not =
something I
do - to me it seems an unnecessarily complicated way of doing things. I
personally hate any sort of website where I have to register my personal
information to view any offers.
I am trying to convince my client of alternative ways and I wondered =
what
everyone else's thoughts on the above were and if there are any specific
disadvantages to building a website this way?
Cheers
