XP Pro has IIS XP Home doesn't. I'm sure there are some hacks around to
allow IIS to be installed on XP Home.
Other option would be a LAMP install on XP home to learn PHP.=20

A long time ago I decided to have a look at ASP and it looked like you
could not use XP Home Ed

Is this the case and does this also apply to PHP

I use mainly a mac, but am looking at buying a windows laptop so i can
travel to and fro from my parents, and want to investigate PHP/ASP
amongst other things and all the tech help on the net seems to be geared
towards windows systems

I am looking on Ebay - should i look for XP Pro
