FN-FORUM: Email Spoofing

Does anyone know of any ways of cutting down/preventing email spoofing?

i.e. someone is spamming using your email address in the from field to make
it look like it's from a trusted source?

by the nature of the protocol I can't see that there's a way round this, but
perhaps someone might know a trick or two.
