I would have recommended SmartFTP, though this is not really *free* for
commercial use :) I've heard good things about BTFtp
(http://www.bpftp.com/) and and CuteFTP - which seems to look very
similar...

Andrew, FFS.
PSCP is a DOS program, that's been mentioned a few times. Try running
it from the cmd line.
You should be able to wildcard so something like: pscp /folder/*

arh fiound it! If I recall the problem with this si that it wont copy
over an entire directory including sub dir so the recommendatin was PuTTY

I'd suggest deleting the partition altogether. don't format it. and
let the install cd deal with creating the partition and formatting.
failing that, check ebay for a drive that's come out of a mac....
