I would have recommended SmartFTP, though this is not really *free* for commercial use :) I've heard good things about BTFtp (http://www.bpftp.com/) and and CuteFTP - which seems to look very similar...

Andrew, FFS. PSCP is a DOS program, that's been mentioned a few times. Try running it from the cmd line. You should be able to wildcard so something like: pscp /folder/* [EMAIL REMOVED] should work...

I'd suggest deleting the partition altogether. don't format it. and let the install cd deal with creating the partition and formatting. failing that, check ebay for a drive that's come out of a mac....
