FN-FORUM: orange PC messenger / SMS from a pc or web

Does any one use this - with out look or in standalone mode ? if so does
it work from behind a proxy server. i cant get it to connect, and the
woman on the phone support number clearly had no idea what a proxy
server was.

otherwise I'm open to suggestions for web or pc based sms sending - only
for occasional use (I'm organising a stag night) so pay as you go preferred
