Depends on how far your getting? What sort of response are you getting from
the machine? For instance are you getting anything at all. I cant remember
from the original post if you put the old hard drive back if everything was
ok?
Are you using a win98 start up disk to reformat the hard drive?

805523 tomorrow ill be happy to run through some of the possible scenarios
with you and perhaps help you get somewhere a bit closer to installing win
xp on your machine.

Machine isn't very old - 2 years maybe.

Try changing the motherboard battery. See if this helps you get a little
