Does in bounce or just dissapear?

I had the problem once where I used to be on the same host company as
my 'contact' he then moved to his own servers and I stayed with the
original company, the emails basically got stuck at the original
companies servers as it was trying to route it locally to their
account they had for him, rather than sending it on... if that makes
any sense?!
