You definitely don't want this. An employee will pay more in tax off the
same earnings and is not usually eligible to claim any expenses as tax
relief plus the already mentioned VAT problems this could create depending
on your situation. I would not spend the money they have paid you as you may
have to give it back to be reinstated as a supplier.
What was your original setup? Are you invoicing from a limited company?
