Subject: FN-FORUM: Part-Time developer
Hi list,
I attend a school (learning the Alexander Technique) which demands 4 hours
in the morning. I now have a 2 to 10 job and I get home at 11 at night. Its
a long long day.
I need to change my work, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or
ideas on how to get a part-time job doing what I do, all of the job sites
out there want people full time. The perfect solution would be to do 4 hours
a day on a freelance job. These jobs would last for a month or so, so I can
choose not to work for some time and do only school.
I am a senior programmer, almost 8 years of experience doing mostly
microsoft solutions based on c# and asp.net (CMS solutions at the moment),
but I worked with java (no pure J2EE but our own framework touching J2EE)
for 2 years, php for a year (freelance), and several other technologies. I
have strong experience programming as well as architecting generic and
dynamic solutions.
So the question is, where should I look? please advice?
I need to be in London.
Thanks all
/ jorge
