Subject: FN-FORUM: I designed I but I don't like it ...
Happy New Year All,
I'm looking for some help from the designers amongst us.
I have just posted a mock up homepage for my client at
www.pasoundhire.thepigfarmer.co.uk for his comments & I'm dreading it
because ... I don't like it!!! Has anyone else suffered this before??
All I had to go with was his logo which is a single graphic and is in =
the
banner - and a pile of images of speakers, most of which are dung =
(Devonian
term).
I have never used Orange and now I have, I will never again and the =
whole
thing just seems chaotic to me as I usually design very clean and almost
empty sites. The thing is, I just feel that my usual style would not fit
this guys industry - up to now I have catered for high end glossy mag' =
style
sites for designers and make-up artists etc etc.
I was about to start again and then thought it may be a helpful exercise =
to
post it here and invite a selection of harsh, but constructive criticism =
to
help me on the rebuild.
I don't want any rendering or validation related scolding as this is a =
true
fag-packet mock-up. What I want to know is why it looks so bad.
...... well, I know what I mean.
Thanks.
Max.
