I think the main level of annoyance is down to somebody touting their
skills to be able to do a job but when it comes down to it, all they can
really do is change the style. Now obviously there are thousands of
"template sites" out there that you can use to provide a quick fix for a
client - particularly if you don't have any graphic design skills (like
me !). However, as a client I'd be well f**ked off if I was charged
several thousand pounds for a site only to find that it had been lifted
from elsewhere. Richard - it'll only take a few disgruntled customers
and what repuation you may have (difficult to know if the testimonials
are real of not) will soon go and your clients will find designers and
developers who will give them a fair product for a fair price.

What's even more surprising is the number of "IT solutions" type
companies that you've done that don't have the skills to at least
produce their own website... Do all these companies actually exist or do
they all have one director...

Oh, and if you want to be taken seriously in business, don't use a
btinternet email address...
